Welcome Back Letter from Principal – Eastman School Year 2025-2026

 Dear Eastman Families,

Welcome to the 2025–26 school year at Eastman! As we launch a new year of learning, growth, and discovery, we are excited to invite our students and families to assemble for another heroic year at our school.

Eastman has a proud legacy as a cornerstone of our community—one built on innovation, bilingual excellence, and care for the whole child. As we continue forward in the next chapter of Eastman’s story, we do so with confidence, purpose, and a shared belief that every child has a superpower waiting to shine.

Our 2025–26 Theme: Eastman Heroes Assemble!

This year, our schoolwide theme celebrates the superhero qualities we see in our students every day. At Eastman, being a hero isn’t about capes or masks—it’s about character, courage, and community.

  • Kindness & Compassion – Heroes look out for others and lead with empathy.
  • Respect & Responsibility – Heroes make positive choices, even when no one is watching.
  • Perseverance & Courage – Heroes don’t give up when learning gets challenging.
  • Collaboration & Leadership – Heroes work together and use their strengths to help others succeed.

Throughout the year, students will be recognized for demonstrating these superhero traits in the classroom, on the playground, and throughout our school community.

 Learning with Purpose

As a proud 90/10 Dual Language School, Eastman continues its pioneering role in bilingual education. Our program empowers students to become confident bilingual learners while developing strong academic skills and a deep appreciation for language and culture. This is one of the many ways we prepare our students to be heroes in a global world.

🎭 Enrichment & Leadership Opportunities

Eastman offers a wide range of enrichment programs and afterschool clubs that allow students to explore their interests and discover new talents. From Student Council and Cheer Team to Instrumental, Theater, and more, these opportunities help students build confidence, creativity, and leadership skills—essential tools for every hero’s journey.

A Year of Growth and Possibility

The 2025–26 school year is filled with promise. Together, we will continue to strengthen our instructional programs, nurture student voice, and build a positive school culture where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to do their best.

As we begin this year, I invite you to join us in reminding our students of this important message:

“Heroes aren’t born—they’re made through effort, kindness, and belief in themselves.”

Thank you for being an essential part of the Eastman family. Your partnership makes a powerful difference in the lives of our students. We look forward to working together to make this a heroic year of learning and success.

With gratitude and excitement for the year ahead,

Warm regards,
Laura Naulls
